Improved Integral Blade Spiral Stabilizer (IBS) have been gained State Patent in 2002 and been approved as one of State Torch Plan Project. Improved Integral Blade Spiral Stabilizer (IBS) manufactured by our company have been widely used in many oilfields of our country, and have been exported to the the Sudan, Qatar, Russia, India, the United States, Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Yemen, Venezuela and some other countries and regions.
Integral Blade Spiral Stabilizer (IBS) is designed to control hole deviation, prevent differential sticking and minimize dogleg severity and thus provide optimum drill bit''''s performance. The unitized construction features three spiraled ribs designed to minimize downhole torque, reduce damage to the hole wall and ensure maximum fluid circulation. The IBS is well suited for use in most formations from soft and sticky to hard and abrasive. It is available in both bottom-hole and string designs, providing the flexibility to run it anywhere in the BHA.
The Integral Blade Stabilizers manufactured from high-strength alloy steel as a single piece tool. Fully heat treated, their strength, hardness and impact strength are attained to standard.
Spiral blades are designed with tungsten carbide hard faced surface (Type-A) or with pressed in tungsten carbide buttons (Type-B).
Features and Benefits:
The blades are an integral part of the tool body, eliminating the risk of leaving components or pieces in the hole
Available in both open and full wrap designs, providing optimum hole wall contact while ensuring maximum fluid bypass area
